Nicolas Cage goes full gridiron for glory! The Oscar winner is unrecognizable in a fat suit as he transforms into football legend John Madden
Brace yourselves, folks – Nicolas Cage is BACK, and he’s bringing the bulk. The 61-year-old Oscar-winning powerhouse was spotted waddling onto a movie set in Atlanta on a Monday, and he was wearing what looked like… a fat suit. A fat suit. And, no, this isn’t for a new “Nutty Professor” movie.
Cage is transforming into NFL legend and video game pioneer John Madden – and honey, the man is UNRECOGNIZABLE. A witness reportedly gasped, “That’s not Nicolas Cage, that’s my uncle Larry after Thanksgiving.”
The movie (which has Christian Bale (51, aka the king of method acting and mother nature playing a cruel joke with his rapid metabolism) as Raiders legend Al Davis,
while Cage is full Touchdown Daddy at the moment reportedly attempting to somewhat a second Oscar as well as a fresh revival for what insiders are calling “his broken Hollywood mojo.” Who would blame Nicholas for caring one way or the other?
“Nicolas is gunning for another Oscar,” a source who probably isn’t named Nicolas Cage. Cage is in his “serious actor trying to cry on cue again” phase.
And lest we forget, Cage already has one shiny Academy Award from Leaving Las Vegas (1996) when he drank himself into the hearts of critics. This time, he’s swapping vodka for videos, playing the coach behind Madden NFL – the game that has turned bros into armchair quarterbacks for generations.
Will the Academy bite? Will he win gold for putting on a padded belly and mumbling something about playbooks?
