NFL star Josh Allen throws playful shade at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s headline-making romance.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen took a thinly-veiled and painfully direct shot at the headlines being generated around the relationship of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in the latest twist of the drama that is celebrity meets sports, not the least of which was that it was not done with sparkles and pixie dust.

Covered in his locker-room interview, when asked about the scrutiny surrounding NFL players dating superstars, Allen smirked and said, “Some of us are here to win games, not red carpets.”

Ouch! While he did not mention names, fans and reporters jumped to conclusions, and the timing was indeed ripe since Kelce’s romance with global pop star Taylor Swift has been the majority of NFL coverage the past few weeks, competing with actual game coverage equally.

Allen continued with, “It’s a little crazy, it kind of feels like a reality show sometimes. I don’t know if we’re preparing for a Super Bowl or a Netflix docuseries.” Although cheeky, there is a very clear sentiment that not everyone is buying into the fairy-tale land that has been invented from the Swift-Kelce exclusive dates.

Let’s face it, Travis and Taylor have been the power couple of the season. From Taylor and her posse in the VIP Suites to their post-game dinners, the entertainment world is obsessed with them, and right now, they are Netflix’s King and Queen.
